This paper deals with the so current and extended subject of medicalization. Difference is drawn between the concepts of medicalization and medication in an attempt to highlight the motivations which account for the former being at its height. The need to reposition psychoanalysis as a privileged instrument for the constitution and strengthening of the subjectÕs autonomy is expressed and emphasized.
