This purpose of this paper is to develop, with the
help of the film "Holland Opus", protagonized
by Richard Dreyfuss, Glenn Headey and directed by
Stephen Hereck, a music teacher and his family life.
Besides teaching, Jack (Richard Dreyfuss) lives with his
wife, that soon after this, becomes pregnant. Two years
after the baby was born, doctors discovered he was deaf.
This drama reflects some of the reactions parents show
when they realized they have a different child from the
one they have dreamed.
